The 9th Annual Bellevue Wine & Spirits Holiday Wine Tasting was held at Newport Vineyards on November 2. The event was presented by Newport’s Bellevue Wine & Spirits and Bank Newport, and sponsored by Newport Hospital, Salve Regina University and Herk Works Architecture to benefit Newport County YMCA’s Community Support Campaign. A VIP reception, sponsored by Sage Cellars, was held in Newport Vineyards’ Brix Restaurant prior to the wine tasting, where YMCA sponsors and supporters were treated to cocktails, wine and hors d’oeuvres. The grand tasting featured portfolio selections of wine and beer from participating wholesalers including Best Beverage, C&C Distributing, Craft Beer Guild Distributing, Horizon Beverage Co., Johnson Brothers, Martignetti Company, McLaughlin & Moran, MS Walker, Northeast Wines/Slocum & Sons, Providence Beverage, Oceanstate Wine & Spirits, Rhode Island Distributing Co., Sage Cellars, Winebow and Wine Wizards, as well as wines from Newport Vineyards, among more than 50 vendors total. Food and accompaniments were donated from area restaurants. Live music was provided by Newport-based band, The C-Note Missionaries.
