Wines & More of Rhode Island of Cranston will host its annual Spring Grand Wine Tasting on March 23. Guests will have the chance to sample dozens of wines paired with light refreshments and to make purchases at special event prices. The tasting is free and open to everyone 21+.
The Bottle Shop of Unionville, in partnership with the Farmington Community Chest, will host its 12th annual Wine Beer & Spirits Tasting at the Farmington Polo Club on March 23. Representatives from suppliers and distributors will pour a variety of beverage tastes for guests from more than 20 tables throughout the venue. Guests will also enjoy food catered by the culinary team at the Farmington Club. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the Farmington Community Chest and Farmington Police Benevolent Association.
Sammy’s Buy-Rite Liquors, in collaboration with the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department, will host the 16th-annual Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department Beer and Wine Tasting at the William J. Pitkin Community Center in Wethersfield on March 28. Representatives from local distributors and suppliers, along with Fire Department volunteers, will pour a variety of fine wine, spirits and craft beer selections for guests. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Wethersfield Volunteer Firefighter’s Association Scholarship Fund.
Monsieur Touton Selection, Ltd. will host a spring portfolio tasting for accounts and trade professionals at BAR in New Haven on April 3. During the walkaround tasting, guests will have the opportunity to taste 300 products, including best sellers and hidden gems from Monsieur Touton’s portfolio to pair with BAR’s award winning pizza. This event is for trade and accounts only.
The RI Home Show is back for its 74th year and in celebration the show is adding a new experience to the event, in partnership with the Rhode Island Brewers Guild: the House of Brews. Attendees of the RI Home Show, taking place at the Convention Center April 4th to the 7th, will get the chance to enjoy complimentary samples of local beers from breweries within the Guild. The Rhode Island Brewers Guild is the official brewery association in Rhode Island, existing to support and promote Rhode Island Craft Breweries. The Guild was established in 2013 with five founding breweries and brewpubs. As of today, it serves approximately 36 participating Rhode Island breweries.

Rhode Island PBS will host its annual food and wine event, “An Evening Uncorked!” on Rhode Island PBS invites guests to a vibrant Pop Art experience at The WaterFire Arts Center in Providence during its annual culinary and vinous extravaganza. Celebrating close to 56 years of public television excellence, WSBE Rhode Island PBS will host guests at The Water Fire Arts Center for our food and wine fundraising event, Uncorked! The festive spring event will take place on April 12, 2024 and will feature wine tastings of fine domestic and international vintages selected for this event from the cellars of local purveyors and private donors. Savory small bites are prepared by chefs from more than a dozen of the best restaurants, caterers and confectioners in Rhode Island and southeastern New England. Throughout the evening, guests may also participate in an instant-win wine grab and browse the micro-silent and live auctions offering boutique wines and unique gift packages.Celebrity chefs Bridget Lancaster (“America’s Test Kitchen”) and Bryan Roof (“Cook’s Country”) will be present.
The 8th Annual Sun Whiskey Union will take place in Mohegan Sun’s Earth Ballroom on April 13. Guests will enjoy tastes of high end whiskey, Scotch, bourbon and rye, along with specialty craft cocktails, while chatting with whiskey experts and distillery representatives about their particular style of whiskey. Enjoy live music by Locals Live 2023 finalist, The Rakes, with food from Bears Smokehouse and NoRA Cupcake Company. A portion of ticket proceeds will go to support the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut.
