121 Main Street
Putnam, CT

Located in the center of historic downtown Putnam, The Courthouse Bar & Grille is housed in a building from the 1880s that was its namesake purpose. For more than 20 years, Owners James and Sheila Frost have offered a court-themed menu, which includes extensive lunch, dinner and dessert options. The bar features 16 beers on tap, with lines changing frequently to highlight limited-edition craft brews. Handcrafted cocktails and more than 30 fine wines round out the beverage program.

Bartender: Kelly Miller

Cocktail: Welcome to Putnam

Recipe:

» 1-1/2 oz. Bacardi Banana Rum

» 1-1/2 oz. Bacardi Raspberry Rum

» 2 oz. Pineapple juice

» 2 oz. Cranberry juice

» 2 oz. Orange juice

Add all ingredients in a mixing glass, shake well and serve in a copper pineapple.

“This fruity libation is served up in a copper pineapple, the symbol for welcome, and pairs well with popular appetizers Buffalo Tenders and the Hung Jury, and Deliberating Entrees such as hand-carved steaks and fresh seafood,” said Owner Sheila Frost. “We chose these fruity flavors for [this cocktail] as they are customer favorites … served in this shiny vessel, patrons can’t help but smile and enjoy.”
