Narragansett Beer and Sons of Liberty Beer & Spirits Company launched a collaboration, Lovecraft Hop Flavored Whiskey, at the Sons of Liberty tasting room on December 1, 2017. During the launch party, guests enjoyed tastes of the whiskey and sipped cocktails made with the spirit, along with seasonal Narragansett Beer offerings. Lovecraft Hop Flavored Whiskey is distilled from Narragansett’s Lovecraft I Am Providence Imperial Red Ale beer. The limited-edition spirit is available at select retail locations throughout Rhode Island and the Sons of Liberty tasting room in South Kingstown. Established in 2011, Sons of Liberty started producing finished beer in 2016. The Sons of Liberty team also earned its first beer medal at the 21st Great International Beer, Cider, Mead and Sake competition in Bridgeport, Connecticut on November 11, 2017, for its Barrel Aged Battle Cry Belgian Tripel, in the Strong Beer – Belgian Dubbel and Tripel category.
