The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) touted its DeliveringLocalJobs.com website as part of its public awareness effort highlighting the faces of the beer distribution industry: 135,000 men and women who work as truck drivers, sales representatives, inventory specialists and other related roles in local communities in all 50 states. In Connecticut, NBWA figures show 23 distributor facilities, 1,080 employees, $111.9 million in wages and salaries, $1.5 million economic impacts in communities via support of charities, local events and economic development, $118.4 million in federal, state and local taxes with a $614.1 million total economic impact.
