Craft Beer Guild Distributing of Connecticut introduced Indiana’s Pride Vodka this spring. Created by Cardinal Spirits, 10% of the proceeds go to an LGBTQ organization in each local sales region, in order to “continue to celebrate, educate and strengthen our community in countless ways.” The first bottle was filled on Friday, June 26, 2015, the day that the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage nationwide. Pride Vodka is fermented and distilled on site in Bloomington, Indiana, from white grapes. Described as “a very light entry, with a full rich body and a bright floral finish,” the vodka is distilled to 190.5º proof, leaving some of the grape aroma and flavor in the spirit before its final charcoal filtering.
