Also part of Christmas in June, Twin River Casino held “Project Broken Wheel” which takes used bicycles to refurbish and donate back into the community. The Twin River team, led by Frank Martucci, comprised of more than twenty-five Twin River employees and local hospitality industry friends and volunteers, including the Rhode Island Bartenders’ Guild. The Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence in Providence and The Martin Luther King Center were among bike recipients. Bike donations are accepted year round at Twin River’s back loading dock between 7:00am – 3:00pm, Monday through Saturday.
