Fort Ross Vineyard & Winery, known for estate grown wines, has introduced a Sea Slopes for broader distribution at a lower price point. The name evokes the dramatic, cool climate of the Sonoma Coast. The 2015 Pinot Noir, made by longtime Fort Ross winemaker Jeff Pisoni, is both elegant and fruit-forward. After aging in French oak barrels (30% new), it was bottled unfined and unfiltered. A Sonoma Coast Chardonnay will be introduced in February.
