USBG’s Annual North v. South Bartending Competition Set to Begin

The United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) New Haven and Hartford chapters, along with Eder Bros., Inc. and Allan S. Goodman, kick off the third annual USBG Civil War Bartending Competition in April. The competition sees 10 events in venues across the state, in “north” against “south” bar talent and locations. USBG New Haven’s Round One, beginning April 9 at The Spread in Norwalk, will feature the spirit Tequila Corralejo Reposado. Round One for USBG Hartford will take place on April 30 at the Taprock Beer Bar & Refuge in Unionville with a low-ABV competition, highlighting Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto. The remaining schedule is: May 7, Harlan Publick, Norwalk; May 21, Little River Restoratives, Hartford; June 11, Oak Haven Table & Bar, New Haven; June 25, Cure, Unionville; July 9, Hub & Spoke, Bridgeport; July 23, Chango Rosa, Hartford; August 6, Highland Brass Co., Waterbury; August 20, Olive Bar, Unionville. The semi-finalists will battle it out in the Championship Round at New Haven’s Elm City Social on September 10.
