Whistlepig Rye Whiskey Master Distiller Dave Pickerell visited Worldwide Wines in North Haven on September 29 for a whiskey tasting for United States Bartenders Guild Connecticut (USBG CT) chapter members and trade accounts. Pickerell was the former Master Distiller at Maker’s Mark for 13 years before joining Whistlepig Rye Whiskey in Shoreham, Vermont. Pickerell walked the group through a series of whiskies as part of the company’s private barrel program, where on-premise accounts are able to purchase a full whiskey barrel.
