RIHA Hospitality Industry Meeting @ Terrazza Bistro

The RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) will host a hospitality industry meeting at Terrazza Bistro on May 22. Led by representatives from Health Source RI for Employers and Napier Financial, the event will give trade guests a mid-session legislative and industry update and inform them on how the legislation will affect their businesses and what they can do to boost employee recruitment and retention, followed by a cocktail reception. This event is free for RIHA members, however you must pre-register to attend. Members are encouraged to bring a non-member friend, registration also required.

Ninety9Bottles Craft Beer Festival @ Oyster Shell Park

The 7th annual Ninety9Bottles Craft Beer Festival will take place at Oyster Shell Park in Norwalk on June 3, offering guests samples of more than 75 New England craft beer selections. While enjoying both new brews and familiar favorites and taking in views of Norwarlk Harbor, guests will also be treated to live music from top local acts and local fare from popular food trucks. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Adoption Hope Foundation, a Fairfield-based charity whose mission is to provide grants for people seeking to build their families through adoption.

RIDEA Craft Beverage Festival @ Isle Brewers Guild

The second annual RIDEA Craft Beverage Festival, a celebration of diverse craft beverage producers, will take place on June 3 at the Isle Brewers Guild in Pawtucket. Hosted by the Rhode Island Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, & Action (RIDEA) Committee, guests will enjoy craft beverage tastes from more than 20 vendors with a focus on women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ breweries, wineries, and spirits producers from RI and beyond. Proceeds will benefit the Johnson & Wales University RI Diversity, Equity and Action Craft Beverage Scholarship, which provides assistance to people from diverse backgrounds to pursue a career in the beverage industry. The mission of the RIDEA Committee is to promote a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the RI beverage community.

Beardsley Zoo’s Wild Wine Beer & Food Safari @ The Beardsley Zoo

The Beardsley Zoo will host its annual Wild Wine Beer & Food Safari on June 3. Guests will have the opportunity to taste food, beer and wine from dozens of vendors while taking in museum exhibits and visiting its many animals. Other entertainment will include live music, games and a silent auction. Presented by Turnpike Spirit Shop, participating venues include Fortuna’s Catering Co., Hair of the Dog, Hardcore Sweet, Hub & Spoke, Little Pub, Vazzy’s, Yalla Organic Hummus & Grill and more. Opened in 1922, the Beardsley Zoo is Connecticut’s only zoo and is home to 305 animals. The annual tasting event is the zoo’s largest fundraiser with proceeds to benefit care of the zoo’s endangered species, expansion of exhibits and educational programming.

Goodman, Connecticut Distributors, Inc., Eder Bros. Inc., Hartley & Parker, Ltd., Opici Family Distributing and Winebow, as well as trade association representatives and members from the Connecticut Package Stores Association.
