
The Connecticut Wine Festival, part of the Connecticut Wine Trail Passport Program, was held at the Goshen Fairgrounds on July 23-24. Approximately 4,800 visitors tasted samples from Connecticut vineyards, attended wine seminars, participated in a grape stomp and shopped local artisans during the two-day wine festival. Participating vineyards included Bishop’s Orchards Winery in Guilford, Brignole Vineyards in East Granby, DiGrazia Vineyards in Bloomfield, Holmbergs Orchard & Winery in Gales Ferry, Hopkins Vineyard in Warren, Jonathan Edwards Winery in North Stonington, Jones Winery in Shelton, Miranda Vineyard in Goshen, Paradise Hills Vineyard in Wallingford, Priam Vineyards in Colchester, Savino Vineyards in Woodbridge, Sharpe Hill Vineyards in Pomfret, Staehly Farm Winery in East Haddam, Sunset Meadow Vineyards in Goshen, Taylor Brooke Vineyard in Woodstock and White Silo Winery in Sherman. Wine education seminars were hosted by Renee Allen, Founder and Director of the Wine Institute of New England and Laureen Guierro from Wine Time CT.
