The Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, in both Wethersfield and Milford, made the “world’s first” delivery of chicken wings by drone from its Milford restaurant. The event was more of a marketing stunt than daily commerce, due to evolving regulations. The two-pound wing order traveled approximately a third of a mile up the road to AudioworksCT on Old Gate Lane in Milford. The Tilted Kilt’s promotional video released online received local and national media attention for its efforts. The private delivery helped promote the brand, yet the restaurant has hopes to be able to deliver by drone in the future.
