E. & J. Gallo Winery announced on April 28, 2014 that it has purchased Ledgewood Creek Winery and Vineyard in Solano County. The 400-acre ranch is located just east of Napa Valley in the North Coast AVA. It consists of approximately 230 acres of vineyard, which produces a variety of premium wine grapes, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. According to Roger Nabedian, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Gallo’s Premium Wine Division, “This portion of Solano…can produce exceptional wine grapes. This vineyard is a great addition to our portfolio to support the rapid growth we have had in our premium wine business.” There are no immediate plans to operate the Ledgewood Creek Winery or tasting room.
