Siete Bucks Spirits and Teremana Tequila appointed drinks industry veteran Richard Black as its new CEO. Black will lead the brand’s continued trajectory in North America and globally. He brings experience through various market roles including for Gruppo Campari, rising to Vice President of Marketing U.S and serving as Chief Marketing Officer for Westward Whiskey, backed by Distill Ventures, a Diageo company, among career highlights. Teremana Tequila opened Destilería Teremana de Agave and was launched in March 2020 by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jenna Fagnan, Ken Austin, Dany Garcia and the Lopez Family with a goal to make an ultra-premium tequila available at an accessible price point. Its three core expressions, Blanco, Reposado and Añejo were projected to deplete approximately 900,000 cases in 2022.
