The Beer Institute and the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) released “Beer Serves America,” an economic study. The U.S. beer industry generates more than 2.23 million jobs and provides $103.3 billion in wages and benefits to American workers and families. The May 2017 report stated that brewers and beer importers employ 64,745 Americans and about 58-percent of brewing jobs are linked to large to mid-sized brewers and importers. The beer industry contributes more than $350 billion in economic output and beer distributors directly employ 134,240 Americans, according to the report.
