
Michael Schlink, President of Schlink Haus Wines of Germany, visited Connecticut in July for a series of summer tastings held throughout the state. Schlink Haus wines are bottled in an iconic cobalt blue bottle, from a family-run winery in the Nahe region of Germany, located along River Nahe in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Schlink, along with Dan Hogan of importer Wein-bauer, Inc., visited Amity Wine & Spirits in New Haven, Paradise Wine & Spirits in Old Saybrook and Cindy’s Wine & Spirits in Westbrook for in-store tastings and bottle signings. Schlink also visited First & Last Tavern in Middletown and Kashi Japanese Restaurant in Stamford to promote the wines at on-premise locations. Featured wines included Schlink Haus 2013 Bereich Nahetal Auslese; 2012 Riesling Kabinett; 2015 Riesling; 2014 Riesling Spatlese; and 2011 Dornfelder Sweet Red Wine.
