As it enters a “new phase of accelerating growth,” Moët Hennessy announced executive leadership for its newly formed Moët Hennessy Wine Estate Division, the company reported. As of July 1, Jo Thornton, Moët Hennessy’s Managing Director for the U.K., now heads the U.S.-based division as its CEO, reporting to Phillipe Schaus, Chairman and CEO. Thornton has served for more than 27 years in different roles within the commercial organization, “driving growth and success” in Europe. Moët Hennessy began acquiring world-class wineries in 1955, coming together in 2003 as Estates & Wines and now Moët Hennessy Wine Estate Division.
