CDI Hosts Copper Cane Founder During Market Visit

By November 1, 2023Connecticut, Top News

A Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), sales team enjoyed a sales training orchestrated by Copper Cane Wines & Provisions on Sept. 29. Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford was transformed into a 1980s “retro” haven, replete with ’80s attire and plenty of fine wine education. Leading the session was special guest Joe Wagner, Founder, Copper Cane Wines & Provisions. A fifth-generation Napa Valley winemaker, his legacy began with his family’s establishment of Caymus Vineyards. At just 19 years old, Wagner ventured into the world of winemaking, with his award-winning Belle Glos Pinot Noir label. By 2014, his entrepreneurial spirit led to the birth of Copper Cane Wines and its portfolio growth. The agenda combined brand education with team building, as attendees were led through a tasting of his preferred vintages of Böen, Elouan and Belle Glos, followed by lively field games including cornhole, three-legged races and tug of war. After visiting several on- and off-premise customers that same afternoon, the day concluded with a special wine-pairing dinner for more than 150 attendees at Encore by Goodfellas in New Haven. Copper Cane, rooted in Napa Valley, California, prides itself on pairing innovation with genuine craftsmanship. Its portfolio offers a range of luxury offerings, including Elouan Pinot Noir from Oregon and Belle Glos Pinot Noirs from prime Californian coastal vineyards.
