The Coast Guard House in Narragansett hosted a beer-pairing dinner featuring Grey Sail Brewing of Rhode Island on Dec. 1. Guests enjoyed five courses of cuisine prepared by the Coast Guard House culinary team, each paired with a different brew from Grey Sail. Rich Welsh, Head Brewer, Grey Sail, was in attendance to give guests a background on Grey Sail Brewing and its beer. Featured brews included Grey Sail Pour Judgement Pils, Adrift IPA, Dave’s Coffee Stout, Anniversary Triple IPA and Cranberry Blood Orange Sour. Grey Sail was opened by husband-and-wife team Alan and Jennifer Brinton in a converted factory on Nov. 11, 2011. Grey Sail now offers more than 10 core brews, along with a variety of seasonal offerings. Both Grey Sail Brewing and its sister company, South County Distillers, are distributed in Rhode Island via McLaughlin & Moran, Inc.
