
Slocum & Sons celebrated the release of Caymus Vineyards’ 50th Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon at Red Fox Restaurant in Middletown on May 31. Guests enjoyed a brand education alongside a buffet lunch paired with wines from the Napa Valley winery, including its latest release, Caymus 50th Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon 2022. The event highlighted other Caymus wines, including Caymus-Suisun The Walking Fool, Caymus California Cabernet Sauvignon, Caymus Sea Sun Pinot Noir, Mer Soleil 30th Anniversary Chardonnay and Emmolo Merlot. Founded by Lorna and Charlie Wagner Sr. in 1972, Caymus Vineyards is still 100% family-owned and -operated by Lorna and Charlie’s son, Chuck, and family in the center of Napa Valley in Rutherford, California. The winery focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon, with grapes grown in low-fertility soils on the valley floor and its surrounding mountains using viticulture practices that influence its unique style of Cabernet.
