George’s of Galilee in Narragansett hosted a pairing dinner featuring wines from Belle Glos in collaboration with Johnson Brothers of Rhode Island on Dec. 20. The evening began with a choice of a welcome cocktail or mocktail paired with appetizers. Guests enjoyed four courses of cuisine prepared by the culinary team each paired with a different wine, including Belle Glos Chardonnay, Oeil de Perdrix Rosé, Taylor Lane Pinot Noir and Las Alturas Pinot Noir. The Belle Glos line is produced by Copper Cane Wines & Provisions, owned by Joseph Wagner, who named the brand after his late grandmother, Lorna Belle Glos Wagner, the Co-founder of Caymus Vineyards. Known for its unique Pinot Noirs, grapes for Belle Glos wines are grown in vineyards on California’s coast in Santa Barbara, Sonoma and the Santa Lucia Highlands.
