The Max Cares Foundation hosted its second Winter Wine Festival Grand Tasting at Hartford’s The Bushnell performing arts center on Jan. 30. The charitable walk-around tasting event gave guests the opportunity to taste hundreds of fine wines from around the world in multiple rooms of The Bushnell. Through Max Catering & Events, each section offered a showcased dish to try from a different Max restaurant to pair with selections. Guests enjoyed small plates from Max Downtown, Max’s Trumbull Kitchen, Savoy Pizzeria & Craft Bar, Max Burger, Max’s Tavern, Max’s Oyster Bar, Max A Mia, Max Fish and Max Catering & Events. A portion of ticket proceeds benefited the Max Cares Foundation, whose mission is to provide financial assistance to nonprofit educational and charitable organizations for the Greater Hartford and Springfield communities and a scholarship program for graduating seniors pursuing a career in hospitality or culinary arts.
