By March 24, 2025Rhode Island, Top News

David Cummings, Sales Manager, Mancini Beverage – C&C Division and Kate MacDonald, Director of Communications, Rhode Island Community Food Bank celebrate the delivery of apples as part of Champlain Orchards’ Cider for Good initiative.

Mancini Beverage – C&C Division and Vermont-based orchard and cidery Champlain Orchards kicked off its first apple donation to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank in the Cider for Good initiative for Rhode Island. For every 4-pack of Champlain Orchards hard cider sold in New England, the company donates ¼ pound of eco-certified apples to local food banks. The RI initiative saw a first donation of 1,080 pounds in February for product sold in the Ocean State in Q4 2024. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank serves 147 agencies, feeding 85,000 needy residents a month, and, in 2025, they will/expect to provide 16 million pounds of food to Rhode Islanders. “I’m excited that Mancini Beverage will play a part in helping people through the amazing program that Ben at Champlain Orchards created, and that the RI Food Bank executes without fanfare, providing assistance to an overwhelming number of people in the state struggling for food,” said David Cummings, Sales Manager, Mancini Beverage – C&C Division.
