A wine-pairing dinner featured Ferrari-Carano wines at Savoy Pizzeria & Craft Bar in West Hartford on Feb. 24, in collaboration with Max Hospitality and Brescome Barton. Rebecka Deike, Senior Winemaker, Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery, was in attendance to give guests background on each featured vintage from the award-winning Sonoma County-based winery. Guests enjoyed a three-course dinner prepared by the culinary team paired with Ferrari-Carano Fumé Blanc, Siena Red Blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, El Pino High Haven Pinot Noir and PreVail West Face Cabernet. Deike joined the winery in 2004 as an Enologist and became Assistant Winemaker in 2006, going on to become Associate Winemaker in 2014. She has been the winery’s Senior Winemaker since 2021 and manages Ferrari-Carano’s red wine programs, which includes its PreVail wines and the Alexander Valley winery production facility. Deike was joined by Winemaker Natalie West, who oversees the winery’s white wine production. Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery has produced its world-class vintages from its northern Sonoma County vineyards for 40 years, has earned its California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance certification and has been named a Certified California Sustainable Vineyard for its efforts.
