Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company, in collaboration with Spiribam, hosted a rum-blending class featuring St. Lucia Distillers Chairman’s Reserve Rum at Providence’s Tiny Bar on March 18. Led by Ian Single, Territory Manager, Spiribam, participants used a variety of flavor tinctures and spices to create their own versions of St. Lucia Distillers Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Rum in a spice market-themed event in the venue’s Glass House. Matty Durgin of Tiny Bar mixed cocktails featuring the rum line for guests as they created their own 200-ml bottle of St. Lucia Distillers Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Rum to take home. St. Lucia Distillers Chairman’s Reserve Rum combines pot and column-still rum and is aged in bourbon barrels, resulting in flavors of cooked banana, caramelized fruits, chocolate, tobacco and vanilla. It’s versatile enough to be used in a variety of cocktails and can stand on its own as a sipping rum. The rum is distributed in Rhode Island by Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company.
