Il Borro Wines, from the portfolio of Centerbrook-based importer and distributor Angelini Wine, Ltd., were showcased during a wine tasting event at The Griswold Inn in Essex on May 14. The Wednesday event marked the 20th anniversary of The Griswold Inn. Il Borro, an organic farm and winery in the Valdarno area of Tuscany, Italy, is led by Salvatore Ferragamo Jr., a third-generation member of the Ferragamo family and the grandson of Salvatore Ferragamo, founder of the luxury fashion house. Guests were invited to taste Il Borro Lamelle Chardonnay, Borrorosa, Borrigiano Toscana, Pian di Nova, Super Tuscan, Petruna, Polissena Sangiovese and Toscana.
