Anheuser-Busch continues its 165-year commitment to supporting local communities by announcing a $6.5 million investment in its Williamsburg brewery. Over the past five years, Anheuser-Busch has invested nearly $2 billion in its facilities across the country to help create and sustain jobs. To date, Anheuser-Busch’s work in Virginia has created more than $1.1 billion in capital investments, making the brewer a key contributor to the state’s economy. Anheuser-Busch operates over 120 facilities across the country and, with its distributors, employs 65,000. The new investment in the Williamsburg brewery will go toward capital infrastructure projects, including overhaul equipment, and additional improvements that drive efficiencies across the facility. Investments will also be made to enhance the capacity and capabilities of the brewery’s warehouse. Anheuser-Busch has called Virginia home since 1972 and remains one of James City County’s key employers and contributors to the regional economy.
