Located in Canton in the Canton Village Shops, At The Rooftop is the newest addition to Zen Restaurant Group. Billed as “a celebration of New American cuisine with a global twist,” the menu is crafted by Executive Chef Dan Fortin. Diners can indulge in a diverse menu of raw bar selections, seafood, steak, tacos, salads and burgers, alongside a variety of seasonal entrees and appetizers, and an omakase sushi bar, all where the finest ingredients come together for brunch, lunch or dinner. Guests can enjoy any of Rooftop’s three bars as its team reimagines classic cocktails with modern twists. A self-pour taproom offers a curated selection of beer, ciders, hard seltzers and wine, allowing sampling from a diverse array of beverages at your own pace. And as its name suggests, the rooftop dining area is one of the largest in the Farmington Valley.

Cocktail: Empress Sunset
Ingredients:
» 1.5 oz. Empress 1908 Gin
» .75 oz. Fruitful Mixology Blood Orange Liqueur
» .5 oz. lime juice
» .25 oz. simple syrup
» 3 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
» Garnish: grapefruit slice and flower
Method: Build in a tall glass filled with ice, starting with lime juice and simple syrup. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit and a flower.

The Empress Sunset.
The Empress Sunset was created by At The Rooftop’s Lead Bartender Kisha Singleton. “I was inspired by the deep indigo hue of the Empress 1908 Gin and I wanted to create a cocktail that transforms before your eyes—just like a summer sunset,” she said. “By adding blood orange liqueur, fresh grapefruit and lime juice, the Empress Sunset turns into a fun shade of pink, balancing the gin’s herbal earthiness with bright, citrusy flavors. It’s a taste of sunshine in every sip.”
