
A variety of fine Asian whiskies was showcased at the annual Sun Wine & Food Fest at Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort during the Asian Market event, presented by Beam Suntory, on Jan. 24. Hosted in the casino’s Earth Ballroom, guests enjoyed tastes of top-shelf whiskies and cocktails paired with Asian street food prepared by renowned celebrity chefs, including Esther Choi, New York City restaurateur and star of Food Network’s “Bobby’s Triple Threat,” “Chopped” and “Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend”; Shota Nakajima, star of Food Network’s “Iron Chef Gauntlet,” “Beat Bobby Flay” and “Top Chef: Portland”; and Leah Cohen, cookbook writer and owner of Manhattan restaurants Piggyback NYC and Pig & Khao. Showcased brands included Toki Japanese Whisky, Hibiki Harmony Japanese Whisky, Legent Bourbon, Roku Gin and Haku Vodka.
