The Breckenridge Distillery has released a new bourbon expression, finished in barrels from a decades-old Pedro Ximénez solera. The whiskey’s aromas of fig compote, almond butter and licorice lead into rich flavors of orange marmalade and vanilla and a long finish of sweet oak. Founded in 2007, Breckenridge Distillery is the world’s highest distillery, at 9,600 feet in elevation in its namesake Colorado ski town.
