
Brescome Barton, in collaboration with HB Wine Merchants, hosted a special meet-and-greet happy hour featuring German winemaker Nik Weis at Bar Max in Hartford on June 20. Industry guests had the chance to meet Weis, who is the founder and third-generation winemaker of Nik Weis St. Urbans-Hof wines. Featured wines included Nik Weis St. Urbans-Hof Bockstein Kabinett, Bockstein Spatlese, Goldtröpfchen Kabinett, Goldtröpfchen Spatlese, Mosel Riesling, Pinot Noir Rosé, Estate Bottled Riesling, Mosel Urban Riesling and Wiltinger. Founded in 1947, Nik Weis St. Urbans-Hof produces about 30 different Rieslings from its 45 hectares of historic vineyards in the Mosel and Saar regions of Germany.
