Brescome Barton team participated in its annual Back to School Backpack Drive in support of the United Way of Greater New Haven (UWGNH) held in the month of August. Employees helped provide and pack school supplies for children in need within the community. “Brescome Barton is committed to giving back to local communities by collecting 30-plus backpacks with supplies for students in need. These children are the future, they need our support and our staff is here to support them. We appreciate our employees’ amazing generosity and support to the future of these children,” said Mia Ginter, HRIS/Human Resources/Payroll Associate, Brescome Barton. Founded in 1920 under the name Community Chest of Greater New Haven, the organization changed its name to the United Fund of Greater New Haven in 1951 and, in 1971, adopted the name United Way of Greater New Haven after a merger of the United Fund and Community Council. The UWGNH mission is to create solutions to the most pressing challenges in the Greater New Haven community, with a focus on education, health and financial stability, grounded in racial and social justice.
