Brockmans Gin hosted two Connecticut education sessions for the trade in February. Olives and Oil New Haven set the stage for its team as well as those from Elm City Social to host Brockmans Northeast Brand Ambassador Lauren O’Reilly on February 11. O’Reilly presented the history of gin and how it’s made, and the different styles and distinctions between them – including London Dry, Plymouth Gin and New World – with a tasting of neat gins to showcase those attributes. The evolution of gin leading up to the creation of Brockmans Gin was then accompanied by a sampling of the brand’s signature “Brocktails” recipes. A second session was hosted at Olives and Oil’s Seymour location on February 12, presented to its bar team by O’Reilly.
