The Coastal Wineries of Southeastern New England present the 10th Annual Wine, Cheese, & Chocolate Festival on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Guests will be treated to a joyful celebration featuring top local wineries and local food artisans along with new special guests. Attendees have the option to taste more than 45 different wines from all of the Coastal Wine Trail Wineries while shopping artisans and vendors for cheeses, chocolates and more. The Newport Craft Brew Race will celebrate its annual fun run on July 22 with a walk or run 5K followed by a craft beer festival with more than 30 participating local, regional and national breweries on the grounds of Fort Adams State Park. All 5k participants and festival-goers will receive a pint glass and entry to the festival with ticket purchase, including access to beer sampling, live music, vendors and food trucks. Wine dinners, seminars, tastings and brunch await guests of the annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival starting Friday, Sept. 22, 2023 through Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023. Guests will have the opportunity to taste and experience wines from every major wine region, enjoy food from artisanal food purveyors and top restaurants and meet famous local, regional and national chefs. The weekend schedule of events includes the Rosecliff Seminar Series, offering a variety of wine and spirits seminars, a Vintner Dinner, Sunday Brunch and various participating venue events.
All proceeds from the Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival benefit the historic preservation efforts of The Preservation Society of Newport County, Rhode Island, a non-profit organization accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and dedicated to preserving and interpreting the area’s historic architecture, landscapes and decorative arts. Its 11 historic properties—seven of them National Historic Landmarks—span more than 250 years of American architectural and social development. During the two-day event, guests will enjoy fresh seafood straight from local fishers and neighborhood restaurants and vendors, along with dishes from local restaurants, craft beer and signature cocktails, with the backdrop of an eclectic mix of music from local bands. Billed as one of the “10 Fabulous Fall Festivals on the Coast” by Coastal Living magazine, proceeds from festival bars benefited Oliver Hazard Perry, Rhode Island’s 200-foot official sailing education vessel.
