Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), welcomed new brands in October during sales team brand education sessions: Sagamore Spirit American Straight Rye Whiskey and the Collective Arts Distilling Gin line. Maryland-based Sagamore Spirit Distillery is newly located on Baltimore’s waterfront. Its two different proprietary mash bills have been distilled and aged in Indiana, then shipped to the Maryland distillery in barrels, where its team proofs them with Sagamore Farm naturally limestone-filtered spring water, before hand-bottling and labeling each one. Ontario, Canada-based Collective Arts Distilling Artisanal Dry Gin and a seasonal Rhubarb and Hibiscus Gin are also new Connecticut market entries. Artisanal, Rhubarb and Hibiscus won silver medals at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Its unique packaging features commissioned art, set to change every 5,000 bottles. A 360-degree custom screen print bottle includes the artist’s signature, release date and quantity of bottles, with a peel-away label to allow purchasers to enjoy the artist’s work.
- Sagamore Spirit are available in Signature Rye, Double Oak, Cognac Finish and Cask Strength.
- The Collective Arts Gin portfolio will include a flagship citrus- and spice-inspired gin, seasonal pink and purple gins, and a perpetually evolving portfolio of limited releases.
