Coventry’s Main Street Wine & Spirits hosted a charitable beer and wine tasting at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick on Feb. 17. Brand ambassadors and representatives from local beverage suppliers poured a variety of craft beer, fine wines and select spirits for guests. Spearheaded by Main Street Wine & Spirits Owner Craig Penardo, the event benefited the Coventry Police Department and its Domenic G. Penardo Scholarship Foundation. Named after Penardo’s father, who served many years as a police officer in Coventry, the scholarship funds education for local students interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.
