
Narragansett’s Coast Guard House, in collaboration with Horizon Beverage Co. of Rhode Island, hosted a wine-pairing dinner featuring the Beaujolais wines of Château de Jacques on Nov. 17. Kobrand Wine & Spirits’ Christian Dalbavie, French Portfolio Specialist CSW, and Sid Lakhkar, Fine Wine Manager, Horizon Beverage, with Elisa Wybraniec, Wine Director, Coast Guard House, presented the renowned French wine producer’s history and winemaking techniques to guests, who enjoyed panoramic ocean views from the venue’s Anchor Room and dinner prepared by Chef Angel Cardona and his culinary team. Wines on the menu included Château de Jacques Clos de Loyse Chardonnay, Moulin-à-Vent Champ de Cour, Moulin-à-Vent Clos du Grand Carquelin and Morgon Côte du Py. Domaine Zind-Humbrecht Gewürztraminer Hengst Grand Cru was paired with dessert. Esteemed for its fine Beaujolais wines, Château des Jacques’ vineyards are located on 85 hectares of land in the Moulin-à-Vent, Morgon and Fleurie Crus of Beaujolais. Part of the Kobrand portfolio, the wines are distributed in the state by Horizon Beverage Co. of Rhode Island.
