During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, New Haven’s Olives and Oil, in collaboration with event planner, Nutmeg & Oak, hosted a cocktail-centric showcase to benefit breast health on Oct. 21. Think Pink Thursday featured special food and cocktail menus throughout the evening, with dishes prepared by the kitchen team, led by Chef John Brennan, and craft cocktails created by Bar Manager Max Fiore and Bartender Michela Zurstadt, as DJ Pipe provided the musical backdrop. Multiple venues across the state held their own Think Pink Thursday celebrations in collaboration with Nutmeg & Oak, including 55 Wine Bar in Fairfield and The Lila Rose in Stamford. A portion of the event proceeds from Think Pink Thursday benefited The Connecticut Breast Health Initiative, a state-wide non-profit organization whose mission is to fight breast cancer locally through education and research.
