
The Connecticut Restaurant Association (CRA) hosted its annual Golf Classic at the Country Club of Waterbury on June 26. More than 100 golfers, guests and sponsors came together to support the association and the Connecticut Hospitality Educational Foundation fundraiser. The foundation awards scholarships to students pursuing a career in the culinary arts, restaurant management or an affiliated degree. Lunch was served before golfers teed off in a shotgun scramble to play 18 holes, with raffle prizes, awards and dinner closing out the event. Sponsors included Sysco, Performance Food Group, Datapay Payroll, Roma Ristorante, Powers, Brennan & Griffin, LLC, Rogo Distributors, Brescome Barton, Subway, Tripoint and Gordon Food Services.
