
Diageo hosted an Agave Lab education and tasting at Amis Trattoria in Westport on November 11, 2019. Jorge Raptis, National Educator of Latin Spirits, Diageo Reserve, gave a presentation on the history of agave and tequila making, and led guests through a tasting of tequila, mezcal and sotol from within the Diageo portfolio. Guests tasted Don Julio Blanco, Don Julio Reposado, Don Julio Añejo, Don Julio Real Tequila, Pierde Almas Mezcal Artesanal, Back Bar Project Sotol Por Siempre, Rancho Tepúa Bacanora Blanco and La Venenosa Sierra Agave. The Amis Trattoria team served guests a three-course meal paired with specialty cocktails made with the afternoon’s featured spirits.
