Domaine Mirabeau Achieves Regenerative Organic Status

By October 27, 2024Top News

Domaine Mirabeau announced in September that its regeneratively farmed B Corp wine estate in Provence has become France’s first vineyard to achieve Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC) status. The certification makes Domaine Mirabeau La Réserve Rosé one of the world’s first officially certified regenerative wines. ROC is one of the most stringent agricultural certifications, going beyond Department of Agriculture Certified Organic standards by building regenerative principles over a mandatory organic baseline, the certification body said. The framework is overseen by the nonprofit Regenerative Organic Alliance and assesses the full farm ecosystem across three pillars: animal welfare, social fairness and soil health. ROC was established in 2017 and includes other ROC pioneers such as Tablas Creek, Neal Family Vineyards, Robert Hall, Bonterra and Domaine Bousquet, as well as the Perrin family, Jackson Family Wines and Moët Hennessy.
