Eli Cannon’s hosted its ninth annual Charity Beer Fest on Main Street in Middletown on August 6. More than 40 Connecticut breweries and 30 additional regional and national breweries provided tastes for guests. Food truck offerings, including those from Captain Scott’s Lobster Dock, NoRA Cupcake Company, The Whey Station and Mercado, fed the crowd. Proceeds from the event benefited the Middlesex Coalition for Housing and Homelessness, an organization that strives to end homelessness in Middlesex County, Meriden and Wallingford by helping to secure stable and affordable housing for families and individuals in need.
