As part of California’s Down to Earth Month in April, four wineries and vineyard companies were awarded 2025 California Green Medal Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership Awards. Presented by several California wine organizations devoted to sustainability, four green medals are awarded annually in the following categories: Leader, Environment, Community and Business. The 2025 winners were: Spottswoode Estate Vineyard & Winery, Leader; CHANDON, Environment; Jordan Vineyards & Winery, Community; and Nuveen Natural Capital, Business. These companies join a decade of past winners from throughout the Golden State, recognized for notable sustainability practices and innovation based on a comprehensive judging process focused on both sustainable viticulture and winemaking.
