Woodbridge, Connecticut-based New England Brewing Co. (NEBCo) celebrated a collaboration launch event for Fuzzy IPA Cask Finish Irish Whiskey. Ireland’s Clonakilty Distillery aged its whiskey in Fuzzy Baby Ducks IPA seasoned bourbon casks, creating 250 cases of Fuzzy Cask Finish matured at Clonakilty’s Galley Head Oceanside warehouse. The distillate is a blend of a 9-year-old malt and younger grain bottled at 43.6 ABV and was only available in Connecticut. The official launch party was held at New England Brewing Co. on October 7, 2019, featuring area bartenders creating cocktails along with representatives from Clonakilty and Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), on hand. Damian Cashman, U.S. North East Business Development for Clonakilty, said, “The interest was beyond belief and resulted in the whiskey being highly allocated and sold out in three weeks via CDI. We are in the process of aligning again with NEBCo for another cask collaboration in time for early spring 2020.”
