Rhode Island Distributing Company (RIDC) held a launch party for Gold Bar American Whiskey, fittingly located at the historic former Federal Reserve Bank building that houses The Dorrance in downtown Providence, on October 21. Gold Bar Whiskey is a new-to-the-market premium blend American whiskey, made from heartland grains distilled and sourced from Kentucky and Indiana distilleries. It is then blended at the brand’s distillery on Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay. Aged in used French oak Napa Valley wine barrels, the whiskey is finished in a gold-plated barrel. Guests enjoyed themed cocktails including the Gold Fashioned, a take on the Old Fashioned, The Gold Rush and the Gold Bar Whiskey & Ginger.
