Hamden’s Mikro Beer Bar, in collaboration with Michael’s Greenhouses of Cheshire, hosted the seventh annual Greenhouse Beer Festival on March 26. Plants were in full bloom as guests walked through Michael’s Greenhouses, one of the largest greenhouses in the state, while sampling craft brews, ciders, seltzers and select spirits from more than 20 local breweries, cideries and distilleries. Local bluegrass bands provided a soundtrack to the afternoon. Proceeds benefited the Legacy Theatre in Branford, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Waterbury and Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center’s Closer to Free Ride.
