
The Greenwich Polo Club hosted the East Coast Open between teams Audi Polo and Barton Farm on Aug. 27. Established in 1981, the Greenwich Polo Club is considered one of the top high-goal venues in the world. The Greenwich Polo Club runs 10 matches almost every Sunday through September. Guests enjoyed full bar service at The Cup Bearer’s Pony Bar, with wine, beer, spirits and cocktails featuring Tuck Gin, Fever-Tree Tonic, Código 1530 Tequila, Código 1530 Artesanal Mezcal, Havana Club Rum, Aperol and Taittinger Champagne among featured brands. To eat, guests took their pick from a variety of gourmet food trucks and Marcia Selden Catering & Events offered Polo Picnic boxes, charcuterie and a la carte items. The event was presented by Audi, with sponsors Celebrity Cruises, Barbados Tourism Marketing, Dassault Falcon Jet, Hospital for Special Surgery and Stamford Health, Société Générale, Morano Group Landscapes + Hardscapes, Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, and broadcast media partner ESPN Polo. Audi Polo triumphed with a final score of 10 to 9, with additional matches taking place on Sept. 3 and the major final on Sept. 10.
