Providence’s Industrious Spirit Company (ISCO) celebrated the launch of its latest spirit, Li’l Rhody Pizza Strip Vodka, at its distillery and tasting room on Feb. 6. The new vodka was created to imitate the flavors of Pizza Strips, a Rhode Island specialty also known as party pizzas, which are made from focaccia dough, flavorful tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese, often served cold. Cait Jackson, Tasting Room Manager and Creative Director, ISCO, mixed up cocktails for guests all evening. Guests also enjoyed Italian Stallion shots, which started with Parmesan cheese, followed by a shot of Li’l Rhody Pizza Strip Vodka and ended with a pepperoncini pepper. Burlesque dancer Femme Brulée performed during the event. The ISCO spirits line also includes Blue Velvet Bourbon, Patina Barrel Aged Gin, Ornamental Gin, Structural Vodka, Ostreida Oyster Vodka and Gemma Crystal Vodka, distributed in Rhode Island by Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company.
