WPRI-TV 12’s “The Rhode Show” featured Rhode Island brand Island Coquito and its founders for a cocktail segment on the news show on Feb. 18. Founders Victor Regino and Travis Escobar joined host Will Gilbert to share the story of how a family recipe inspired the brand’s creation and successful bottling. Coquito translates to “little coconut” in Spanish and is traditionally enjoyed at family celebrations and the holidays. The bottled version of coquito offers a blend of creamy coconut, smooth rum and warm spices with a festive escape in every sip. The team also demonstrated its use in cocktails in the live segment. Island Coquito is distributed in the state by Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company.
